The Crichton Foundation is delighted to announce that Professor David Clark has been awarded the inaugural Dame Barbara Kelly Fellowship. This prestiguous award has been established in honour of Barbara’s contributions at the Crichton. We are delighted at the interest shown in this new award and the high number of applications received. Thirteen applications, covering a wide range of topics, were received from the University of Glasgow, University of the West of Scotland and Scotland’s Rural College. The selection panel invited four applicants to interview after which Professor Clark was selected as the recipient. A doctoral research student will be appointed to to investigate “Delivering supportive, palliative and end of life care to rural communities: the case of Dumfries and Galloway.”
