Charity in Scotland: Facing the Perfect Storm?

The Charity and Third Sector world which is crucial to the delivery and support of many vital social services is facing significant challenges today.  What is the scale of the problem and how should it be addressed? How is it impacting across Scotland?

One of Scotland’s experts in the field, Kenneth Ferguson, has spent all of his professional career in this sector and is presently Director of The Robertson Trust, Scotland’s largest giving charity. He is Convenor of the Scottish Grantmakers, the Membership Group representing independent grantmakers in Scotland, is also a Trustee and Vice Chairman of the UK Association of Charity Foundations (ACF) and a non-executive Director and Honorary Patron of Social Investment Scotland.

A graduate of Edinburgh University in Business Accountancy he also has an MSc from the University of Stirling in Capital Investment of non-profit organisations.

Doors open at 7pm with lectures beginning at 7:30pm prompt. A one-course supper, followed by coffee, will be served after the question and answer sessions close at 9:00pm. Red or white wine will be available for purchase by the glass from Easterbrook Hall. Please note that supper must be pre-booked at least one week in advance of the event. No refunds will be made for cancellations made less than one week before the event.
