Once again the Foundation entertained guests at the glamorous Gala Evening event held on Friday 8th November 2013. Over 200 guests enjoyed fizz, fine food and fabulous music with a sophisticated black and white theme. Fraser Clark, a local pianist, played a selection of jazz pieces throughout dinner, this set the mood for the entertainment to follow. After a candle lit three course meal guests were entertained by the talents of the Seonaid Aitken Swingtet and Quattro MacJazz. Local boy, Roy Percy, played alongside Seonaid, Tom Watson and Tam Gallagher in the first set and returned to the stage with Alistair McDonald, Forrie Cairns and Lennie Hard after the interval. A raffle and auction added to the evening’s entertainment with prizes including fine dining experiences, artworks and a villa in Portugal to be won.

The event was organised by the Committee of enthusiastic volunteers led by Stevie Norris. The evening was held at the Easterbrook Hall and proved to be a great success generating a fundraising profit of approximately £12,000. The Foundation is grateful to the many donors who supported the auction and raffle and who took advertising in the programme. Our thanks also go to Tommy Jardine who kindly acted as our Auctioneer.
